The road trip continues ( part three)

After an hour and a half drive, I was finally starting to see the beautiful heels of Santa
Margherita, with its palms in every yard of those gorgeous villas. At my right stunning man’s creations and at my left an old love of mine, the sea with its boats every here and there… Sometimes the road to heaven is paved with amazing views. I couldn’t even tell when I arrived in front of the police officers who stopped the car. The number of cars that can enter in one of my favorite places on this amazing earth is limited so I had to wait a couple of minutes. When they made the sign that I can go I was beyond excited. Every time I’m there I have butterflies in my stomach.

Portofino is definitely a place to see, at least once in a lifetime! Don’t get stuck in the port where every tourist take pictures, makes 3 steps from a terrace to a window shop, watches the boats and that’s it. Portofino is way more than that! Go in the garden of the Castle, get lost on those narrow streets, climb the heel to Hotel Splendido, but before getting there enjoy that amazing garden with different types of flowers and palm trees, stop and look back and admire the sea, listen to those birds…You will feel like you are out of this world! Go to Hotel Splendido and have a lunch there! You will remember that view the entire life! Look around you! Live in that very present moment! Enjoy and be grateful. Think once again how wonderful life is. This is what I did.
I left that wonderful hotel in a complete bliss, I had happiness in my veins! I was “flying” when suddenly an old man with a blazer and a bow at its neck, from a balcony full of flowers and paintings asks me: “Hello, would you like to see my paintings?”
