Do you know that moment when you find yourself in front of a window shop and you say “just a quick look” but you actually ended up buying something? Well I can’t say that this thing happens often to me, maybe just three or four times a year.
Firs time this year happened some days ago when I went to have lunch with my sister, Lucia. If you have visited Milano you know that from Piazza Duomo you can arrive in Via Torino and right on the corner, there it is, in all of her glory…Zara! When I start staring on its windows and I said “this will be just a quick look, I won’t buy anything, I don’t need”, I really mean it. But then I saw this leopard jacket thrown on a pile of clothes, without hanger, without any tag on it, abandoned, just by herself. I felt sorry for the poor thing. I start touching her, feel her softness, I looked at the size, was exactly my size ( S ), I pick it up, I went in front of a mirror, I didn’t want to try it, I just want to see how that color looks on me. Then I noticed that she has pockets. I love coats/jackets with pockets…I just wanted to find out the price. Repeat: without any intention of purchasing it. So I asked a staff member if he can tell me the price because it didn’t had the tag and with a quick look on his device he told me the price. It was on sale. And I left the shop…
With my new jacket of course. Now how am I supposed to leave it there? How am I supposed to do that when she has all I need? Perfect size, pockets, it’s soft, it’s faux fur, no animal was murdered for its making, it keeps me warm…we still have two full months of winter until spring so…I had all the plausible reasons not to leave it there.
My surprise was when I saw that I can put it with literally ANYTHING! Dresses, pants, high heels, over the knee boots, jeans, trousers, skirt, sneakers etc. I call this a good investment! Period
